Morten Graugaard is a seasoned life sciences executive, investor, and company builder with more than 20 years of experience spanning venture capital, corporate strategy, business development, M&A, and biopharmaceutical innovation. As CEO of Orbis Medicines, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth and strategic direction, having helped build the organization from its inception while serving as a Partner at Novo Holdings.
Prior to joining Orbis Medicines, Morten was a Partner at Novo Holdings, where he focused on life sciences investments and company creation. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Corporate Development at H. Lundbeck A/S, leading high-profile acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. His achievements include spearheading the acquisition of Chelsea Therapeutics and leading the spin-out and financing of Syndesi Therapeutics, which was later acquired by AbbVie. Morten holds an MSc in Human Biology from the University of Copenhagen and brings a unique blend of scientific expertise, strategic leadership, and operational experience in building and scaling innovative biotechnology companies.
